It’s not so much the cold, but all the salt. Got a fresh blasting from a passing gritter on the way home as well.

I jetwashed this a couple of weeks ago.

Ive seen dirtier after having washed the car mere MINUTES ago, not weeks lol. But yes the winter salt is the number one reason I wanted to move from NJ to Socal. I don’t mind the cold and snow and seasonal changes. Rain is always fun as well. But that winter salt is just inescapable and ruins all things. I am much happier now just not worrying about rust.

I’m sick of this too. Basically gave up working on my car because it keeps snowing so the poor thing has been off the road for a month now

Most of my commute is rural back roads that don’t get as much salt put down. It’s usually dirty again the first drive after washing from all the mud on the roads. The blue does hide the filth reasonably well.

Haha I just recall one day I washed my car and then had to get on a highway to get home. It was dirtier when I got home after the wash than before I left beforehand!! It was mostly just because the road was absolutely soaked and was like a river of salt at 70mph. And since it is a Miata close to the ground, it was covered past the roof in salt stains after a few minutes.
